in general, Cabela's brand anything. Sometimes they aren't much cheaper, but they are just as good. At least they used to be, not sure about post-merger, haven't shopped there in a while.

Agree, Cabelas guidewear was/is excellent. The selection and availability of some items has dwindled or disappeared completely post merger

I buy a lot of store brand items from both Kroger and Costco. I'm not sure I would say they are better than the name brand but they are at least as good. And they do come at a better price, and are probably all packaged by a name brand company. When I was a buyer for Tom Thumb Supermarkets (back in the 70s) I bought store brand veggies from Libbys, anti-freeze from Prestone, batteries from Union Carbide (Everready), etc., etc. Same product -- different wrapper.
