Its that time of year to dust off the DD22's and 3/4 oz jigs. Fishing offshore is one of my favorite ways to fish nowadays, but I will admit I'm not the most versatile when it comes to my bait selections. The DD22/6XD, 3/4 oz jig, and 3/4 oz carolina rig are about the only baits I have tied on and they will stay tied on for the next 5 months. Although i don't ever see these baits not being a staple in my offshore fishing arsenal, I'd like to diversify a little bit.
So with all that being said, what are some of your favorite offshore baits?

Aside from what you mentioned above, a shad imitating swimbait on bottom like a Storm Wildeye Shad (I prefer the 6" or 7" basstrix hollow body paddletail on a one-ounce jig head) and Big Joe's flutter spoon made by Joe Spaits at Weedless Lures on Lake Fork. Also a Mag Fluke fished weightless for suspended fish.
