I am in hopes of finding someone to ride with me and share expenses on a trip to fish the coal mine strip pits in Crawford and Cherokee county Kansas. My plan is to drive up on a Sunday or Monday in the last week of May or first week of June, and fish as many pits as we want for 3 days. I know the area pretty well but have only fished the pits on 3 occasions. I am leaning toward camping out, but a shower and clean bed at a motel might be better. I have 2 kayaks that ride on an overhead rack on my truck, but if you have a jon boat that would be better. This trip will not cost much, mostly gas.
