My son is an amazing kid. Gets straight A's, leads in the weight room. Played all 5 sports this year. He's a gentle giant....in 8th grade he's 6'5" 200#...... but what's bigger than his frame is his heart. As his now former teacher and coach i'm passing him on to the high school. I have stayed in coaching at the same school waiting for him to come through. IT WAS AN AMAZING experience. For the countless times I was told by another teacher how kind he is, how he helped them fix their doorstop, how he helped a kid pick up papers, for being 7th and 8th grade athlete of the year and student of the year......i'm taking him to Lake Naconiche next week smile

Kayaks will be loaded up and hopefully the fish cooperate. Never been there but sure does look fun. We are only staying 1 night. His final reward comes in the form of an 8 day fishing trip to northern Manitoba to fish for northern pike, walleye and hopefully lake trout. I've been told we will be tired of shore lunches and eating fish....hahaha...i've heard that before but it's the trip of a lifetime and I can't wait to share it with my son!

I'll definitely report back with photos.

A 6'5, 200lb multisport athlete that is an incoming freshman? Sounds like that young'n needs an extended stay at Naconiche (about 4 years). I happen to know an AD that thinks he would look great in maroon. grin

Nconiche is an awesome lake and I think y'all while enjoy it. They like weightless senkos and flukes around the grass along with Texas rigs and jigs. The jerk bait, square bill, spoons and extra deep diving crank baits work really great or schoolers fish holding deep structure. I agree with coachlars!
