Fished Tawakoni Sunday afternoon. First off, gotta say it�s nice to see other anglers on a spot and willing to wave others over. That�s how I got on them Sunday. I was using the trolling motor to look over and around a hump when the couple basically said, �they are on this side of the hump, just cast over here�. Had nice conversation as both of our boats landed fish after fish on every cast. Hybrids moved in and I hooked this 23� hybrid on my slab. Made for an awesome fight!

Wow, that's an awesome fish and couple that waved you over! I caught a few on shad Sunday, but nothing on a sassy shad. Sounds like I need to buy some slabs! What colors and brand do you use? Thx

Nice fish.

I always start with slabs for the most part when the fish are on the bottom. I have the sassy shads tied on when they are suspended or actively feeding closer to or on the surface. I use chartreuse RSR lures. There�s all kinds of slabs out there. I just the hook and paint on the slabs. They seem really durable so far for me.
