Finally decided to tow the new boat (Lund 1775 impact) to texoma for a trip. Stopped by the tackle box to grab shiners at 6 and headed out. Launched from highport and saw a bunch of boats on the far shoreline so headed that way and started scanning some humps in the deeper water. Saw a few marks so spot locked, hit the splasher and thumper and started baiting lines. The graph was lit up before I was able to get the rods out and baited and the first drop was an instant bite that unfortunately got off )bad knot). Caught several 21 overs which we released and a couple of box fish. Moved a little shallower with the same results. Headed east and tried a couple of more spots. The fish were visible on the graph and I could see them looking at the baits on my panoptix but they didnt bite. Headed to the point south of Mac creek and drifted that bank with no luck.
Headed across to Mac creek and saw a few boats there. Moved a little shallower to 38 and saw some marks. Same situation, started splashing and thumping and picked up a bunch more 22 fish and our biggest 28 of the trip. Had to head out by 11, so took off from there. Ended up with 4 overs and 6 box fish. Was a fun trip and I look forward to many more!
I have a blue Lund with an Elsa decal on the windshield (my 4 and 6 year old daughters are the loves of my life) so you cant miss me if you are out there!

Nice report.
So, how did the new boat ride in the big water?

If I hadn't of gotten my Skeeter Bay, a Lund was my 2nd choice.

Sorry about that. I would always rather fish than take pictures. Will try next time. Tim, Did not even try for shad. Just bought bait this time. Dropped a few lures and sassy shad but no takers. For me the Lund was the perfect boat: 1. It fits in my garage ( I have to crank it all the way down and disconnect my garage door and push it all the way up to make it fit. 2. It has six seats (me, wife, 2 kids and 2 friends) 3. The second day I had it, I took it out to Lewisville in 20mph winds solo. It was 2-3 feet at the cut but the boat handles well. Waves came over the windshield so any middle and third row seaters would have been soaked but I never would have been out there in those conditions. In my old G3 flat bottom, I never would have made it. I did put a bad scratch on it when the wind blew me into the dock. 4. Rod storage for all 10 rods and storage for everything else. I took at the middle seats to strap in my bait tank when less than six and move it to the front deck when I have 6. 6. Terrova can hold me in place even in high winds (20mph) and Panoptix is amazing. 7. Its blue so my girls think its an Elsa boat. They dont want to go fishing but will go out in the Elsa boat.
