I bet you could get a whole tackle box of lures walking up & down the river. Also it will be a buyers market for river (creek) property for a few years....

The homes on Lake Dunlap lost 50 percent of their value! Just wait until all of the vegetation starts growing around the river bed! Could only imagine the view from the back patio. I can see this video as plaintiff exhibit number 1 in the future law suites to follow. nuts

I am just glad no one was sitting on the bank fishing 50 yards downstream

Some guy on the news last night that he lost $300,000 in property value. The residents are being allowed to clean the trash from in front of their property, but when the weeds grow, they will not be allowed to cut them. GBRA will get the Dunlap dam fixed pretty pronto when the political pressure starts weighing them down.

I wonder how much money the hydro electric plant is going to loose before the dam is repaired and the lake fills back to a usable level.

Is there a hydro plant on Dunlap? I don't see a power house, only the spill gate control building. The Lake Wood plant has been out of service for a long time.

Yes...The hydro plant is down below the dam. There is a canal that runs around from just left of the dam to the plant...it is right across from the Bandit golf course.

I was wondering if people will be able to walk the river to fish the deeper spots once the banks dry up...kind of like creek fishing ? Is this considered "state" land ? Anyone know ?

As long as you have legal access to the bank, once you are in, as long as you stay in the river bed, you would be within your right to walk the entire length of the guad.

OK, I see the power house on Google Earth. The bed of Lake Wood took about two years to dry enough to walk out on and then it was iffy. There is probably 10 feet of silt that has built up.
