What conditions make you choose to throw a waky rig, a Texas rig, a shaky head or a Carolina rig? Is it water clarity, temp, time of year?

All the above and surrounding cover and structure
Use a technique that you can fish efficiently depending on your surroundings and wind conditions
In general: Unmodified wacky rig shines best around shallow grass during the spawn and post spawn when there are blue gills shallow. Also works great around and under docks and trees. Wherever there is bass fry and or blue gills
Texas rig best for pitching toward a specific target. Mid depths and shallow. Very versatile, but really shines prespawn mid depth, spawn shallow, summer deeper depths
Shaky headgreat for dragging on gravel or shell bottom. Good choice at boat ramps or other concrete structure Slowly. Lower wind conditions Good for pitching around docks and sparse timber. Any time of year, especially when the bite is slow.
Carolina rigvery versatile. Can modify the amount of weight depending on depth. Any time of year. Fish it with a heavier weight and deeper in winter and summer. Fish it with a lighter weight and shallower spring and fall
