911!!!! Thats what its there for. 911 saves womens SUVs from flooded intersections all the time.

I cant believe you had the nerve to have one of the kids call for help for you....and then expect them to put even more civilians in danger to try and save your boat. You shouldnt have a boat.

Just my opinions. Harsh as they may be.

To the OP, why did you "get in trouble" on the lake? Perhaps I missed your explanation?

How does a 22' Triton end up sideways on the rocks? Did the outboard malfunction?

Hey,

I know I am posting the obvious but depending on a TD to assist in an emergency is "saying it nicely" is short sighted and inherently dangerous. I have volunteered as a Tournament marshal in the past for Matt at Ray Bob and Hubbard and even in my Boat which was on the water the entire tournament, it could take me 20 or more minutes to get to you if you weren't in the trees or up a creek. That being said, my boat nor myself are equipped for a ruff water rescue and i have been in law enforcement for 20 years. Pulling a boat off the rocks is about the most dangerous situation i can think off especially if the weather event is still taking place. Now add the time it would take for the 911 call and the dispatch of the officers and the unloading of the boat if ones not on the water. Calling 911 has to be the first thing you do and when they are rolling, then start calling buddies and looking for a safe way off the boat if you can. A boat being pushed up against the rocks and taking on water can capsize quick! In a perfect world THSBA would have a Marshal on the water at every tournament but in just my day on the water and chasing down reported violation, I emptied two zx225 gas tanks and i just cant sustain that cost by myself nor the hours on my motor.
I am willing to bet that this will weigh on your mind for the rest of your life in regards to how near you came to disaster! take it as a learned experience and learn from it! THSBA can only do so much and trust me! they run a tight ship with dedicated TD's and volunteers...............

Go home at the end of your shift, no matter the cost!
