After a 1000 cast at carp I finally got a carp to take a fly it had been 10+ years since the last. It paid off this weekend, the wife's cheap shopping on Wish was a blast. She got me a reel/ rod and set up for less $35.00 as gift. So my it deemed the 3wt 6ft my travel rod. Just never thought of it as a carp rod, but a black wooly bugger was the ticket as it suck at the surface scum.

Congratulations. It took me 2 weeks of hard fishing to figure out how to hook them on a fly. Stay after them. They are one of the most exciting freshwater fish you can catch on a fly. Keep the pictures coming.
