I’ve started a contest to name my new deer hair packer that I’ll be launching later this year. Whoever comes up with the name that I use will receive one for free. In case of duplicates of the winning name whoever posted first will receive my new packer.
Please just keep throwing names at me. I need a name that easy to remember and catchy.
Thanks Greg Stine
Full disclosure I’ve posted this on another forum.

I use to be young and dumb but I’m much older now!
It works similar to Cohen’s Fugly packer. You can watch that being used on YouTube. The Fugly packer has a strong spring to hold it open and bridge from one side to the other. It’s very hard to close down on the Shank (like a hand exerciser) and the force to pack the hair comes through your fingers. My packer has a weak spring just to hold the jaws open and the driving force goes through the palm of your hand which means less effort and more force. The fugly is steel which is much heavier and can cut your thread. Mine is a light weight polymer that won’t cut thread but is rigid enough to last for years of heavy use. I believe that anyone who ties hair bugs will want this tool.
