I have booked a small cabin at Bridgeport.

Really wanted to go to LOP but yeah... the weather looks much much better heading West vs. East.

Anyone have tips on fishing Bridgeport? Never been there. Not heard much about it. Looks rocky from the pics. So drop shot and ned rigs?

Bridgeport always has a ton of small fish. Usually catch a bunch, just hard to find any size. Crankbaits, jigs, dropshots and topwaters are good. The river end tends to be stained to muddy but lots a protected areas from the wind. Most all the smallmouth I have caught came from the mainlake. Good luck.

Thats some good info to start with. Thanks!

Just not a lot of info out there on this lake. Never even thought about going there before so this will be an adventure! Forecast looks decent and lots of places to get out of the wind in a yak it looks like. So I am all in!

I feel you man its a haul.

Andrew and I are looking at instead of paying the cancellation fee (we split a reservation/room) at LOP just to just rebook for sometime in June.

If we rebook there is not a fee. I would not mind going out for a night or two later in June and maybe 1Shot and some of the other East Texas bruhs can make it out then. Will keep yall posted on that.

I'm always good for Lake O' Pines. Besides, 1Shot makes me laugh....
