I use bright colors or white. Minnows are a good option too.

Big jigs, 3 Bobby garland slab slayr, 1/8oz Road runner with willow leaf, they tend to stay shallower longer and tight to brush when the water is muddy.

I generally just stay at home and work until water conditions improve.

When I must go out, I used an unpainted jig head, and a really bright color. Then I find a place with an eddy or slack water complete with structure of some sort and go at figuring a presentation.

This rain is really messing with my plans at school. I teach Outdoor Adventures in high school and we are finishing up our fishing unit. My intentions were to show them how to clean and fillet fish. We have already watched a few videos, but wanted the to get a little hands on experience. It'll be awhile before the lakes clear up.

So, do you need someone to supply some fish for them to clean? I am raking care of my sick dad right now, but there may be someone nearby that can supply some fish...how many would you need?

I do things around the house and wait for better days.

I have crappie in the freezer to eat.

I may end up going to Squaw Creek and catch a few bass and tilapia. Granbury will be shot for crappie and whites for a while. At least that is my thinking.

These heads of Lane's at Constant Pursuit Outfitters are really good in off color water. You don't have to cast them out, just a bump will send flash and vibration.
