Just moved back to the area. Any tips on where the flats are on Ray Roberts? I’d assume by google earth that Johnson Branch is a good place to start. Any advice would be much appreciated.

The best carp flats are like duck holes. Sought after and not widely-publicized. That said, it isn't hard to find a few once you get out there, and it's always changing a bit based on water level.

That lake has so many carp in it it's unbelievable. If you go to Isle Du Bois State Park and find the Hawthorn camping area, it's an island. There are carp all around it all the time. But the place I would always see them while bank fishing is on the north side of the island.

My sons used to love going to Isle du Bois park to fish for carp and catfish. They would fish close to the swimming beach and did really well. I suspect the fish were attracted to that area by all the food that kids would lose in the water.
