Anyone fish Lake Palestine?
Looking for someone who would show me the hot spots for hybrids/whites.

Ive never been on the lake. Been thinking of going though. Whites and hybrids typically have the same patterns wherever you go. Main lake humps and ledges and edges.

Hired Trent Miller for a guided trip on palestine probably ten years ago and not only was it an amazing family experience but that trip has paid off every summer since then. Not sure who guides for them now but I think Jason Burton has done trips for them in the past. He posts a lot in the bass and crappie section so it may be worth contacting him. There are still plenty of hybrids in palestine and they are very healthy right now. Notaguide is right in that they follow the same patterns as hybrids and whites on other lakes. Right now they are gorging on spawning shad shallow at night and early morning. Bulkheads and wind blown shores are good spots to look especially if you see cowbirds or herons lined up on bank. Have had some pretty amazing trips in last few weeks.

Last year dont think we had any stocked on account of the fish kill but the white bass already seem to be rebounding with lots of fat 6-11" fish being caught. Maybe we can get some some more this year.

Hopefully you get to make it out and can post up a report.

Did you ever find a guide?

No - I wasn't really looking for a guide.
Just hoping someone with local knowledge would be willing to help.
I did find a few guys on the water that gave me some excellent info.
Now I just have to spend some time on the water and do my own thing.

Found a nice school on my graph July 5th but they were in very deep water and would not bite.
