Fished FFH today. Here are a few pics of the hybrids that were caught. No wind and no water movement. Fishing was tough, but we found em in 18 to 25 fow. Humidity was high, cloudy and water temp at 68. Pressure was 29.9 all day. They wanted the buck tail jig today over the crank baits. Fish were found in the deep water along the dam and middle of the lack. Still looking for that 10 plus pound hybrid on that lake!! We didnt keep any fish today and all the fish were released in good health!

Nice! Glad you had a good trip. I was out there this evening too and got into them big time in deep open water near dam as well. Attached is a photo of what I saw on graph while driving that made me stop and what the graph looked like once spot locked.

I tried trolling around structure with zero luck. Didnt troll through this hot spot I found although it likely would have worked. I spot locked and casted 7 inch flukes on 1-1.5 ounce heads and retrieved with a steady retrieve usually within 2-6 seconds of hitting the water. I used spoons/slabs in the same fashion and caught them that way too

Im a big fan of those Zoom magnum flukes that are 7 inches long. I threw a 4 inch swim bait and hardly got hit. I think big bait is the way to go.

We caught ours trolling. Worked different depths until we found one that were getting the most hits. I need to try fluke fishing for them. My screen was lit up also like the ones posted by Respect. I figured the bite got better as soon as the winds picked up but I had to leave early and wasnt able to stay that late.

I use 4" Sassy Shads and 6" swim baits while drifting or with the cast sink slow retrieve method. Trolling is very uneventful to me, can't do it.....

When thermocline sets in , trolling during daylight hours is productive. I would rather get skunked . Night fishing becomes favorable, fish the same spots fish were caught late spring.

Id rather catch them without trolling but making a pass over the school and catching 4 fish on two rods is bad to the bone...I dont care who you are lol.

Ft. Phantom is definitely one of the exceptions. Appears as though Hybrids can be caught there under any conditions and any time of the year. Excellent fishery , a long haul for me , however , the attraction has me scratching for a way to go. All of my fishing confidants have either died or changed careers and are forced to work odd hours.
