I used to bowfish, when I lost my connection with folks that ate them I stopped doing it. Had a neighbor that would take every Buffalo we shot, they liked fish head soup and grilled ribs. One of our tournament guys had a neighborhood that would take every fish we shot, delivered after midnight. He said almost every house in the area would come over and the fish cleaning would begin.

I've heard a lot of good things about Buffalo ribs but have never had opportunity to try them.
Had a Cajun buddy of mine cook some had balls up one time over at Toledo Bend...they were outstanding!

Saw this same thing at a creek I was fishing last week. Saw 3 of them one of which was pushing 3 foot long just left on the bank. No puncture wounds so I am assuming they were netted and left on the ground. So sad how the world is nowadays.

If you just throw them in the water, no one else count your fish and see how awesome you are

Don't do this! If you kill a fish you must take it home for use as food or bait, leaving it on the boat ramp or tossing a shot fish back into the water is a violation of "Waste of Fish" laws.

Always wondered why the bow fishers bothered to bring the fish back to the ramp and then dump near by. Puttung brush piles in Corp lakes is illegal as well.

As a guy that enjoys bowfishing, I hate to see dumping like this. Especially on a public boat ramp. That said, any type of fishing has plenty of the "bad eggs". People leaving trash on the banks and in the water, poor judgement on the water while operating a boat, etc. Clearly, these guys weren't very good if that's all the fish they could manage. You guys that think all bowfisherman are trash imagine what it would be like if I dumped all these bad boys on a ramp...

The point is, bowfishing is lawful and helps the lakes. TPWD would shut it down if that weren't the case. Don't paint us all with the same brush, most of us enjoy the sport lawfully and clean up our mess just like all responsible sportsmen.
