I have a 2002 Yamaha 0x66 250 Im having issues with it shutting off while running down the lake. It starts fine and idles fine. I have replaced everything that has to do with fuel system and it’s still doing the same thing. Could someone please tell me what else it could be. Thanks in advance.

I know this sounds dumb, check the fuel line for a kink. It took me 3 years to figure out that was my problem.
Does it restart after shutting down or does it take a while?

My Evinrude Intruder did that to me a couple times. I would be running down the lake and it was like I turned the key off. Just completely die. It would start back up just fine. It was the power pack going out.

Clean all of the battery connections really good. I have found this problem by wiggling wires while motor running. A guy recently with an SHO had a loose wire on the ignition switch.

If you have replaced all the fuel system stuff like they said check battery connections and if there clean you could have a brain get hot and shutting it down but never had that issue. I was a Yamaha rep for 5 yrs we can check it out are PM me and we can talk
