Decided to fish brush today. Hit first BP In about 15 fow. Marked a lot of fish and they kept hitting jig. Could not catch a one. Based on the events of the rest of the day, I would say the where perch. On to BP #2 and proceeded to get into steady fish. Nothing spectacular, but enjoyable. Caught about 20 fish and half legal. On to BP #3 and another dozen and 3 peckerhead brim. All where tight in brush in the 19fow. Proceeded to BP #4 and things slowed. Pulled 8-10 more out of brush in 16fow. Called it a day and headed to the dock. Fished quite a few jig combinations to start the day till fish decided they wanted a Black Neon Bonehead stump bug fished on 1/16 Chart head with chrome willow leaf spinner. About half were legal and half dinks. Big fish only 12.5". Only one fish still full of eags. Kept 10 for Mediterranean fish cakes for the family. Dang they where good!
Preserving Texas fishing heritage one lure at a time.
