How many rods do you normally take fishing?

Two for me, two for wife. I have a few 2 peice rod / reel combo's under a front seat in case we are out just cruising and run into some surfacing fish.

Eight, four for me four for wife. Six rigged with 8lb line and 1/8 and 1/16 jigs. Other two rigged with 4lb line and 1/32 or 1/64 jigs. If we loose a jig just grab another rod and keep fishing till we loose all jigs then stop and retie all. We fish heavy brush so its not uncommon to loose 20 jigs in one trip

I take 8. Six rigged up for Largemouth and 2 rigged up for Crappie.

Two for me. One 8 footer and one 4 1/2 footer

2-4 depending on what style/techniques I might be using.

As many as I can cram into my rod boxes....you wouldn't keep a half loaded gun would ya?

I fish out of a hobie kayak and keep it simple

Depends on the water and /or species fished for.
2 for panfish with drag adjusted if big bass hit
5 for bass and 1 for panfish

6, 3 for me, 2 for the wife, and an extra just in case.

There are 12 crappie rods in the rod box. Why would I leave one at home??? It can't catch any crappie in the garage.

Sometimes 1, sometimes 4....most of the time 2.

At least 4! 2 for me and 2 for the wife. Two are set up for trolling and 2 set up for fast cast if we run into sand bass schooling or decide to do a little Crappie fishing. When the grand-kids go we add a couple of more.

8-10ish, 2 ea crappie rods per person, 2 each white bass rods per person, and a couple trolling rods

2-3 if in someone elses boat

That's just for Crappie though. I always have Bass and Sandbass rods in the boat as well.

As many as the situation calls for.

You dock shoot with 1 rod but spider rig with as many as possible.

I usually use three.
