Yes, I remember that now. So was this Deadwood like in 1953 or something? Here is the EB guy Willam Sanderson.

He was also Larry, who had a brother named Darryl, and another brother named Darryl.

Yes he sure was. Newhart.

Also Lippy Jones in Lonesome Dove

That show elevated cursing to an artform.

roflmao Trixie cracks me up with the nonchalant offers she throws out there. Calamity Jane too. Hilarious stuff.

I saw a documentary on the series a few years ago. They did quite a bit of research on the language of that period including the expressions, vulgarity, and terms such as hooples, hoople heads, and others.

I managed to get all three seasons in since Bob originally posted this. What a great show. Might have to sign up for the free HBO trial after the movie comes out. I also read there was a second movie slated.

I hear ya. Funny how you end up kind of rooting for Swearingen as despicable of a human being he was. Tin Star is purty good so far too. We are on the 3rd episode of that one.

I know. Tolivar had his derringer out and I'm thinking, no way would he make that shot with a derringer. Now Cy Tolivar, that varmint was just evil incarnate. Swearingen talking to that Indian head in the box was greatness.
