Doing a couple night trip on the llano. Putting in 385 bridge and going to Castell. Has anyone been lately? Didn't know if the flood killed the fishing. Any reports would be appreciated.

Went this weekend
Was in between Grobe and Yates Crossings
No vegetation in the river
Trees are bent down and full of debris
Looks like F4 tornado went through there
Water extremely clear
Caught 12 small guads in two different three hour mini floats
Use an olive crawfish pattern and get it on the rocks

Thanks for the reply. I figured it would look like a war zone. I'll post how is the fishing is.

Fishing was slow. Caught 4 or 5 guads, black bass and some perch mixed in. So fishing was a lot slower for us than we are used to. The water was awesome though. We really enjoyed the trip.

That is one river I set my heart on, with a 5 hour drive it looks like it will be put on hold judging by your reports.
