I never understood why in the heck if your going to retailiate when you get hit with a pitch, you throw down the bat? You just lost an incredible piece of weaponry to strike down the opposite team. Take the bat and immediately smack the catcher into a dirt knap, then turn and go get the pitcher, I promise you they would think twice next time. Your gonna get suspended no matter what, so why not intimidate them with an assault with a deadly weapon? I think Koufax was pitching that game for the Dodgers. Think the catchers name was Rosen.
