I make my own but start with green tomatoes. I'm sure you could use tomatillos. Try this. Chop a half dozen tomatillos, an onion, bell pepper, red bell pepper for color, a couple of jalapeos, add salt and sugar, pour in a pan and cover with white vinegar and bring to a boil. Dip into a jar with a slotted spoon. You should get about half. The jars will seal. Keeps for more than a year in the frig.

I have added chopped cabbage. Works fine.
