Decided I needed to get on the water today. Checked the weather and it called for showers after noon. So at 0830 I headed out. Got to one of my favorite spots and tossed out a Bobby Garland baby shad and got a 2 lb bass on my first cast and missed a fish on my second cast. Then I saw a big line of bass boats headed in. One swung by me and told me the weather radar showed a big storm in less than 30 minutes.

I am not dumb and a float tube is not what you want to ride a storm out in. Got off the lake and loaded up just before it hit. Been raining since. Dont know the guy who warned me, but would like to thank him. Based on the 2 casts I made I wish the storm had held off for an hour or two.

Your skills and experience paid off. Good decision that you got of the water. On a positive note at least you got some fishing time in and you caught a fish and did not get skunked. Nice post as always Flags. thumb

Glad you were able to get on the water even if it was for a short time. Looking forward reading your future post from Amarillo! woot
