After hitting the hybrids the other day, I wanted to get back to my bread and butter……..striper fishing! Justin wanted to go fishing but he wanted hybrids. I told him to go get himself some. He said, “but…….but..….I wanna go with you”. I told him I was going striper fishing. He said, “but…….but….…but......, well......ok", then, under his breath at almost a whisper, "but I wanna go hybrid fishing.”. Anyway, we went striper fishing.

I spent a long drive in the car listening to, “ I wanna go hybrid fishing……I wanna go hybrid fishing”. Wished I had some headphones.

We got to our destination, found a spot, started fishing and were immediately rewarded with some solid fish. No bruisers, but good fish. Good, steady action.

I’m having a good time. Looks like Justin is having a good time, when he says, “we should’ve gone hybrid fishing”. Geeze!! I told him to go ahead, start hybrid fishing right now. Get ‘ya some! Yes, I was employing sarcasm. He didn’t say it, but he had that look on his face, like I’ll show you. He makes another cast……….and boom! 10 lb hybrid!!

He must have got his mind just right and he made it happen. Zen and the art of clouser casting. I’ve got to give credit where credit is due…………Good Fish Justin!! And while I’m tootin’ his horn, here’s a pic from our previous outing……..a 12.5 lb striper.

Now, a little off topic and I don’t mean to be critical, but don’t you guys think his face looks a bit puffy. Like maybe he needs to put the doughnut down and take a couple of steps back? It could just be that I’m a little jealous that he had biggest-fish honors our last couple of outings. Not sure on this one.
