It was a day of fishing, so of course it was a good day! The Crappie did not cooperate, but the cats did.

Enjoyed the video! thumb

I saw you start to go between those trees and my thought was...NOOO....and then BOOOM! eeks
Reminded me of myself as I always seem to be a stump magnet on that river.

Just one more cast!

I would not take a boat to the left of the no wake buoy leaving 23. tons of trees and stumps, we messed up the ski boat pretty bad last year right there.
The blue cats are eating the zebra mussels, I think Canyon is going to have some massive blues soon.

Good thought Reaper, also gotta remember the lake was 4 ft. lower this time last year.

Last weekend I was fishing off the pier in Jacobs Creek Cove and I leaned over and looked at the pontoons under the pier and they are covered in those Zebras.
I think I figured out a way to chum the water with those critters next time I go out there.

Yeah I keep a close eye on the graph when crossing that area coming out of 23. I've found a stump there before.. If you plan to swim/play in the water, you need some foot protect. Last year we had 5 boats tied up in a cove and found some zebras on the bottom on small sticks. They will cut you up!

Any reports yet of any down below the dam?
Probably won't be long with so many in Canyon. bolt

Im sure they are already past the dam, although its pretty deep and it seems like the zebras stay in the shallow water.
They do cut you up pretty bad. Our original spots to swim are no longer good places to swim.
