Which is going to last longer & which would you chose if you had the option to have one over the other?

The tires are part of the suspension so a 14" has more sidewall with a lil flex.

The 18" low pro trend ride stiffer and beats up your favorite toy. Im not willing to do that for a more expensive tire.

Life is probably the same at 5 years. Most never wear thru the tread the tires sinply get old.

The age of your tires is on the side. It is a four digit number. First two digits are which week of the year they were made. Second two are the year. Change every 5 years no matter what.

I like the 14" Carlisle Radial Trail HD ... load range D.
The Maxxis M8008 are not a bad choice.
Some like the Goodyear.

The bigger wheel will add height to the trailer. Double edge sword. You’ll have to raise your hitch. Bigger tires will last a little longer I guess.

I’d go with 15”. Seems to be a little better selection on 15” trailer tires vs 14”. Just my opinion.

Thanks guys-trying to iron out all the options in buying a new boat-unfamiliar territory when it comes to hauling with different size rims...

They do not add height unless u get a bigger overall tire. Normally they use they use a tire that will be the same size as what is currently on your trailer. At speed i doubt there is a difference in ride between a 14, 15, and 18 inch wheel, and all with similar wheel heights.

18's will look cool but the first curb you hit will cost you big money. 14's should be pretty trouble free, less bling!
