The most exciting part of the show to me is who gets bumped at the 20th cut line. Other than that, I like the after show deal where they talk about the changes they made on the water and why they made them.
The winner is usually the one who catches the most rats.

Everything in between is boring unless they have the camera on IKe, it's like a trailer park episode of Live PD with all the screaming and Fbombs...

not sure why people are hating in it. I like this format, and like that they broadcast most of the day. I also like BASS and FLW and watch those as well. I don't watch any of the programmed shows for MLF, BASS or FLW now that live is to the point it is. I will only occasionally watch a live weigh in. The Classic, FLW cup, or if someone I like is in contention.

I appreciate the different format that MLF offers. Like the new faces in BASS. This is good for everyone involved. If MLF as the new group is not viable in the long run, more drama for us to watch.

Ha thanks. I was wondering which river and how far up he was. I finally saw the drone footage of him and he is really far up the Haw River. He seem to be catching them in deep pockets where the water slowed down.

Tue - 40 guys - Group A Day 1
Wed - 40 guys - Group B Day 1
Thu - 40 guys - Group A Day 2 weight carries over from Day 1, Top 20 advance
Fri - 40 guys - Group B Day 2 weight carries over from Day 1, Top 20 advance
Sat - 40 guys - weights start at zero and top 10 advance
Sun - 10 guys - weights start at zero, final day

In this case they are fishing the first two days on Jordan Lake, the next three days on another lake, and the championship day on yet another lake.

That allows them to go all in catching fish today and tomorrow and not having to worry about "saving" any for later.

Indeed. Their field size allows them to fish waters bigger events can't. And, by rotating lakes, they don't smash them with four straight days of pressure. But man, they smashed them today. 13k acre lake. One day of practice. Yes, today was awesome and I'm amazed just how fast these guys can break down a lake and catch the kind of weight they did today. Let's see, the next two lakes have got 'em. Who knows about the smaller, surrounding lakes these guys may fish. I'm really starting to like Dink Fests.

Cold and slow start to elimination day today.

Saw Christie on Instagram and he mentioned it was 33 degrees out. Yikes!

KJ just caught two for 11 pounds.

He's got it going this week.

There's a dozen guys just one good bite away from the elimination line, this will be an exciting last 30 minutes of the round for sure!

It did warm up very fast though.

Feel sorry for G-Man, lost a good one on the rip-rap. Really let out some frustrations. He made it back above the cut line, but last I saw he dropped below it again.

Guys in red are surely sweating the guys in green right now.... can you imagine knowing that KVD is one fish away from knocking you out of contention?

You guys that don't like this format can say what you want but these cut days and the last 30 minutes of fishing is as good as it gets for entertainment value. Beats a weigh in (where you already really know the winner) hands down every time.

Exactly, this last 30 minutes is what I really like, seeing guys make the right decisions and seeing guys spin out.... Some guys truly crack under the pressure.

How about that! Klein with one a few minutes out and makes the cut. And Montgomery with a 6 lber jumped about 8-10 people. That was a good finish. Just knew Swindle was gonna capture one cranking that rip rap at the end.

Yep, awesome watching that four way split screen. KVD wanted to meltdown and got his composure and delivered a pretty good recap. Solid stuff.

I saw that..... slapping that jerk bait on the water, I though he was about to have a high speed come apart and go all Ike on camera!

Swindle had a mild meltdown after his 2nd landing penalty of the day in the 2nd period and losing multiple fish, not a direct quote but the rant went something like this "cold water, losing big fish, losing 4-5 big fish at the classic, all these events before June, I got 2 more years of this?" The camera then cut away

Seeing these guys live under that pressure is fantastic.

Couldn't watch but was listening in the truck while driving. Frustrating is phone kept refreshing and going back 20 minutes in time. Completely missed the last few minutes. Wish Swindle would have made it, but was happy to see Montgomery make the cut.

This is my first weekend watching an entire day of BPT. I've watched may of smaller segments but never a full day. Definitely a bit different from watching a full day of BASS. It feels more like I've been watching a day of the PGA Tour. Not that that's a bad thing but surly different from the days I've watched of BASS or FLW. Hopefully we can keep all three as they all have a unique style and as viewers we get a ton of bass fishing coverage.

Wheeler better put down the frog. He is going to get chased down.

I said the same thing with about 1.5 hrs to go. Poor Wheeler, I was pulling for him. He will relive that many times over, especially after watching the footage. That was a $52K love affair with that frog.
