How do you guys deal with everything you pull out is covered in that old green slimy moss. I can see large fishing coming out of the edge and going back in. I am assuming that's where the beds are. To me having to pull moss off your bait everytime is very frustrating.

Beds will be in places where there are holes. Not necessarily where there is green slime. Frogs and soft plastics are probably your best best. Pulling off slime each cast is sometime you will have to overcome. When i fish traps over hydrilla I don’t catch fish unless there is grass on my hooks. Just a part of the game.

Joe Pool now has the green slimy grass (not even sure I'd call this grass) close to shore all over the place. Just barely started showing up last year and now it's everywhere. It's under the water so not like this pic, but makes fishing cranks or traps up close to shore pointless. I was out yesterday for the 1st time on that lake in a while and finally just moved to a c-rig. What's the best way to deal with this in the spring? Just go to c-rig or t-rig, fish like a .5 crank that travels 12" from the surface, or something else? And it's not like you can just pound your bait on the water to shake it off. It's sticky as all get out.

do they spray the grass on joe pool. I have only seen the slime on lakes where the home owners are scared of grass.

Yes it is frustrating having to pull off snot grass off of your bait but sometimes that's what it takes to catch fish if the whole lake is covered in it. Look around the lake and see if there are some areas that have less snot grass that still hold fish.

This grass is new as of late last year. It all died in the big floods they had 3-4 years ago.

Throw a fluke and kill it right after it comes off the edge.
