I'm wanting to get new lowrance fishfinder for the trolling motor and I have been looking at the elite 7 ti 2 with 3 in 1 active imaging. Are these good units? I have a elite 7 hdi now and its horrible in shallow water. Cabt trust the depth anything less than 5 ft. Was hoping the new ones have better transducers. Any thoughts on good units for trolling motor? I have a 112 lb fortrex.

For video game like fishing that Garmin panoptix thing looks pretty cool. $1500 ish I believe
I wonder how they see so much like the line and lure and everything. I've got a Lowrance graph on my trolling motor and I've never seen my line. How would the transducer have to be oriented to see the l line. Maybe mine is not pointing straight down?

I've seen people put something on the backside as a shim so that it points transducer in front of the boat. You may want to try that, start with small shim and adjust from there.
