Myself,Fred (Rionator) and Manuel fished Lake Dunlap the other day and the bite was good. We fished from 10am till 2:30pm. The water was stained in some areas and fairly clear in other areas. The current was strong. Water temperature was 63 degrees. We caught approx 50 fish with most fish in the 7 to 8 inch range. No 10 plus inch sunfish caught. Biggest sunnie was a 9 inch Redbreast. Bluegill,Hybrid Sunfish,and Redbreast were caught. We also caught a bunch of Large Mouth Bass and a couple of Guadalupe Bass. Fish were caught in 10 to 16 feet of water close to docks. Worms were used and all fish were released to fight again. The HIGHLIGHT of the trip was when we finally got to meet Vogey who was fishing the upper end of the lake. Vogey who's name is Steve was fishing out of his nice Ranger boat. He was also having a good day on the water. We hope to meet again and hopefully fish together one of these days. Great times on Lake Dunlap and meeting Steve (Vogey). It just don't get any better!

Wow. Great report as usual. That is one mighty fine looking Ranger you have there Vogey. Just perfect for all kinds of fresh water catching.

Well, as usual, Banker & crew caught much bigger bluegill than I did, but still a fun day. It was great meeting you guys, and I do see some fishing trips in our future, especially when things turn on at Fayette...

Nice fish guys! Always nice seeing good post coming from the river lakes. Have you fished Dunlap since the let out on Canyon has been increased to 1200 CFS? I fished Mcqueeney last week and it was very strong and hard to fish a spot.

Thanks Yesenia and Curtis for the replies. Curtis: The current has dropped way down over the past few weeks. Hopefully water conditions settle down for the rest of year. Should have a great year for catching some nice fish.

Gitter...If we don't get any flooding, it should be real good. The water right now is very clear, especially at the upper end. I am catching lots of medium size, and when it warms up they will only get bigger...

I think you are right however I think the wake boats,ski boats,and jet fleas will be a huge factor!

Yes they will ! A very HUGE FACTOR and in a BAD way!
