I`m in the process of sinking several PVC Bucket Crappie condo`s on my local lake.I have already spoken with the TPWD rep for this lake and was given the OK permission for the undertaking... however I`ve heard that PVC can be very hard to find on electronics even after you`ve GPS`d & marked the area.Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make pvc POP(standout) after being sunk? Unlike someothers, I won`t mind someone else fishing them because I plan to sink quit a few in different locations.

Maybe stick limbs inside the PVC and affix them some way.

I remember 8-10 years ago not being able to pick up plastic very well. Could usually find the cement bucket or anchor with a little searching. Been running Hmminbird Helix 10 for past few years and pvc doesn't hide very well with the higher speed transducers.

For us PVC is is the only way to go, have made up over 500 in the last 18 mo.
They last for every and you don't hang up on them.
270 of the are in Pines, and limits of crappie have came off of the last year.

Read it again, the chrome/foil tape.

If it was easy, everyone would do it

Would it help to PVC glue an end cap on them, so they'll trap some air and show up better?

Fly tier (yeah, I can fly fish...but the fish don't like frothy water!)

If you cap the PVC to trap air in it, won't it be harder to sink? What about if you put some old license plates on the pvc so those would show up?

I meant the foil should return a signal like a jig head does it being metal..
this is what 3M 1.88-in W x 150-ft L HVAC Tape

Applies to both fibrous and sheet metal ducts and conforms to irregular surface
1.4 mil general purpose aluminum foil backing with acrylic adhesive
UL 723 classified tape

caps glued on with just a ft or so of air will prob work to you can drill a hole in pvc down 12 inches so it will let out excess air
