Go to a different creek unless you like fishing shoulder to shoulder

The Plano waste treatment plant runs into Rowlett creek just above Breckenrige park in Richardson. I used to live by that park and after every rain the "floaties" , as my next door neighbor the Dallas water engineer calls the non liquid stuff going down the toilet was all over the bank as Plano's sewer consistently overflowed raw sewage into the creek.

If you're determined to go there, you could try to fishing upstream of the main bankfishing traffic and throw unique color (red, black, green, gold) and style (not jigs or minnows) baits to entice the few that made it through the barrage of white curly tails and crappie minnows..? Most popular creek in NTX for sandies run

I have fished rc for many years, my best advice is use a 4lb main line with a 4lb fluorocarbon leader. Never fish anything above 1/8oz, jig and bobber is good, so are rooster tails. When fishing is slow, use a small split shot and a size 6 hook to bump a minnow along the Bottom. The lure is not even close to as Important as the line you throw it on, trust me on this.

The water is very very clear. Fluorocarbon line will be important.
