What do you gain with these units vs the 1042xsv?
The new echoMap Ultra will have the ability to utilize the LVS12 transducer w/o the module as where the LVS32 requires the module. The LVS12 only has a 20-degree beam as where the LVS32 has a 135-degree beam. The LVS12 is a single element transducer. The echoMap Ultra will be touch plus button as where the 1042xsv is non-touch. Other than that I would say they are one and the same. I am not yet certain on the resolution. So David, If I were looking to put the best Garmin Livescope setup in my boat right now, what would your recommend?
Assuming I don't need the Garmin mapping. I'll already have a unit for that.
