An 18" crappie out of any east TX lake would most likely top 3 lbs. There's a whole bunch of us been fishing for 40-50 yrs and not caught a crappie that size.

Congrats on the fish! My daughters are 12 and 10 and we fish all the time. I can only hope that when they are in college they still want to fish with their old man.
