going to rayburn this week end to tag along with a high school tournament bunch. launching out of Powell's. any advice on a general area around there to concentrate on? probably won't venture more than 6 to 8 miles from the ramp. haven't been to rayburn since college in 68. really haven't fished freshwater since then. no more than a few casts at camp sites through the years.

water was 64/65 last weekend. Fish should be shallow

thanks to Zx225 and Musiclife for the pointers. i caught 4 bass, the first was a toad. also hook onto something that i couldn't turn and it got around some log or brush and i tried for 20 min to get it untangled. finally just pulled till the line broke. didn't measure or weigh the toad, just let it go. my grand son got skunked on his boat. his buddy caught 4, but just one keeper. thanks again. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2019/03/full-75845-5649-its_all_about_the_bass.jpg)
