I spent 4 hours trying to find fish shallow yesterday morning. After lunch I went back out and found them in 20' of water just off the creek channel.
Caught 40, kept the 25 best.
I am not sure why everyone wants them to move up. I like them stacked up on the brush myself.

I spent about the same time shallow that day and concur with your assessment. The only reason I like shallow water fishing is the Panoptix cost about twice as much than my boats worth! I'm still looking at square box's on a 80"s hummingbird!

Dang from hunting ranch to crappie guide. Them fish better look out. This is a heck of a guy fellas. Met him a year ago when my daughter won a hunt at his former ranch.

Yeah my daughter and I fished a couple spots yesterday. Found 62 degree water way up north and caught a couple. 55-57 was mostly the temp around mid lake. Within the next week for sure, we should start seeing them.
