So squarebill around trees in 20 ft. Though the squarebill and fish were probably less than 5 ft deep?

Just shows you that some of those big ol bass will hang out or spawn in the tops of those trees as opposed to the bottom/roots/ground

NICE CATCH !!!!

Yes Sirs... The MiniMag is an over sized Squarebill...not a Magnum but more like a 4.5/5.5 Lucky Craft

It Dives around 6-8 feet with 12# Floro on a super long cast...

I was making long cast past my target tree (Directly over the middle of it)

Then cranking the bait down and "driving" it directly into the center of the heart of the tree- bang and bounce off the limbs as it comes thru...

I'm talking Trees in 20+ water ,exposed limbs on the Surface and ones slightly under the surface

I like this technique when I know fish are suspending in Deep Trees...And in my opinion a Squarebill deflects Tree/Rock better than most crankbaits in general

Also a Squarebill is not Limited to Shallow water... I can get a Magnum LC 110 bait down 18+ by swapping the Front Hook with a 2x or even 3x (Obviously oversized hooks)

I have gotten some big bites doing it on several lakes...

It's not for everybody, you lose and break a lot of bills doing it but to me it's worth it

We all stumble and make mistakes. When you stumble, do you want your brother to help knock you down or to help set you back on your feet?

Congratulations on catching that beautiful fish.....but am I thinking of the same lake you are? The only Lake Titicaca I know of is high in the Andes, between Peru and Bolivia.
