Was thinking of hitting the Llano this spring and do a couple nights. Does anybody have any tips? Is it worth the drive out after the flood?

I was planning to head up there in early April. Initial signs post flood look bad, but they usually do for the first brave souls...

Wow! Thanks for the link, that was an eye opening read. I only fished the Llano for the first time last year, pre-flood. Spent the better part of the day at the slabs, about a week too early for the white bass run. About a month later I spent several hours in Castell and caught innumerable sunfish and small bass.

Growing up in Burnet and Llano Cnty most of my lifeI can say what that flood did to the Llano is unbelievable. Where there was a river pre-flood, there is no river now. Totally changed the river bed..

Wow. How depressing. Had no idea the river was affected that much.
