Why is it that I cannot buy a bite when the water is below 60F on Lewisville? I have tried everything, shallow and deep and in between. Flat sided cranks, Chatterbaits, TXrig, Alabama rig, Rattle trap, spinnerbaits, carolina rig, ect. Some of the coves I have been in have shad(1") everywhere. I have fished clear, muddy, and in between water. It is so frustrating seeing the pro's catching 30 fish a day when I can't get one bite. Anyone have any success on the Lew?

Slow your presentation. My biggest bass of the year always seem to come in February with water temps in the low to mid 50's

I am 0 for 2 this year on Lewisville, had 1 bite today. I really think the lake is the toughest cold water lake around. Your choices are to go fish the waste water with everyone else, or struggle through till April picking up a few fish on rock piles and points.

Unless you have grass, clean water or smallmouth your winter fishing is going to be painfully slow and often tough.

If you can't find em wind em.

I always struggle until April. No idea how to catch them in March or February.

I have not caught a fish on Lewisville in a couple months. I go out about 4 times a month. It's been a brutal year for me, can not explain why.
frustrating in the least.

I agree with y'all. It's extremely difficult.
I even went to a completely different part of the lake then I usually fish and didn't catch a single fish. I even found 55 degree water and still nothing!
