Trickle down effect has caused the Sweet 16 to move to next Sunday. Anyone needing a great place to stay mid lake, PM me, I just cancelled mine.

Being a TD has got to be one of the toughest jobs in the world. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Live to fish another day and move on.

Just looked at the aviation forecast for Lufkin...over the next 3 hours calling for winds 20 to 30 kts and thunderstorms. They made a good call.

A good call would have been to let people trailer instead of moving it. If you get in a bind when you trailer then that is on you! The wind is blowing here out of the west. Not terrible but blowing. Sun is peaking in and out and it is 72 degrees. Its noon!!! Say all you want about its safe yadda yadda. My 9 year old is just fine out here fishing with me...self driving diesel trucks to pull boats are next so you dont get hurt on the way to the lake. They wont let you trailer so you have to walk by their sponsor booths...whatever.

Local tournament director is getting bunch of flack right now as this storm system dropped a tornado within half mile of the lake they are on. Just bout killed everyone today over some fish. If yall dont like what Champs did then go cry somewhere else. Same few every year that has an issue and complain on these post. Find another series to fish then.

The forecast was dangerous, and that's all the man had to go on...so in your mind its ok if someone dies trailering...its on them...brilliant.

They are most definitely losing some money moving it to tomorrow, so $$ was not even a factor in the decision. I respect the call and deal with it- either fish it or don't.

People are responsible for their own safety if you deem you can't handle a boat in wind or dodge a storm stay home. Pretty soon it will have you be wind below 10 and less than 30% chance of rain to run. Or directors will realize that much like the 3 fish limit [censored] it's the minority squeaking the wheel.

A chicken has a brain the size of a pencil eraser and has enough sense to seek shelter in a storm. And yes trailering will prevent people from getting hurt! If you arent smart enough to get out of a storm I dont want to be on the lake with someone of your intelligence level anyway!

TD has to make a call based on the information he has...he has to take into consideration all anglers including dudes who will run out there in anything. He knows if he says go...most are going to go comfortable or not. Its just a fish and not worth anyone's safety...anyone whos fished Rayburn for very long knows how nasty and dangerous it can get. 5-10 years ago didn't make it any smarter.
