Anyone use this product or something similar?

My 17yo garage epoxy floor is starting to delaminate in some areas and the tire marks are starting to bother me

It did look really nice for twelve years; but, I don�t want to do all that prep again

In my experience with floors (47 years) lots garage floors do not have polly under the concrete, this will cause moisture to evaporate a come to top of slab also it will sweat when humid or rainy weather. I would test slab be sure no moisture it. Only other thing is when vehicle is parked and steering wheel turned it may cause the vinyl to buckle or move a little. The finished job looked good ,

get some visqueen (?) hvy plastic from lowes etc. and lay a large sheet on the floor for 4-5 days. try to seal the sides best you can. watch for wet spots or even darker spots in the concrete. might be best to reseal with epoxy then do the vinyl. heat the garage if you can it will pull any moisture up.

Should do a moisture test

A moisture test will do no good if the garage is not climate controlled. Relative Humidity tests need to be performed in climatized controlled conditions to give you an accurate reading. Chances are, you do have moisture vapor expelling through the top of the slab, at what rate is the unknown. Look for a product that can withstand a RH of 97% and follow the installation guidelines. Most coatings require surface preparation, which usually entails mechanical grinding and or shotblasting to a CSP of 2-3.

After watching your video and learning the type of product I see a couple of issues that could arise with any moisture issues you might have. With the product being loose laid with only the edges taped, if moisture can not wick out of the sides or pass through you have a chance for mold to develop under the product. It would be interesting to find out the the perm rating of the product is?? To eliminate any concerns with moisture, you can apply a moisture mitigation system first, and then apply the covering.

Great info. I always wanted to paint my garage with a polycuramine coating. Unfortunately some neighbors around me have done it and within a year it has peeled up in places. One even had a rep from the company come out and redo it, same thing happened in within a year, started to peel in certain area. Your information makes sense.
