Looking for information on which area to fish on Disney property. It will be myself wife and 12yo son we all know how to fish not looking for record fish. Different lakes are known for numbers and some for size of fish just wondering if anyone has any information. Thanks

My boss is there right now! He sent me a picture of a fish he caught in the 7 lb range. I will send details as I get them when he returns.

You can rent a boat or hire a guide in the Marina near the Boat Club/Yacht Club resorts across from the Boardwalk! I was having too much fun on the parks and restaurants/bars to think much about fishing, though! I assume you mean Orlando... https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/fishing/

I just talked to him and he said that he hired a guide that works there at Disney. The guide took him, his two daughters (6-8) and his wife out. They used live bait. He said he caught one that went close to 7 pounds, then let his girls catch the rest. He said the water was very clear and they saw every fish strike. They fished the lake around the Magic Kingdom Park. Sorry, that is all I got for ya.

Been a Disney member for many years now... I believe the only way to fish Disney property is to rent a guide or a boat and rent the gear. Never got a straight answer from the folks there. Very expensive to have a rental. You used to be able to rent poles and buy bait at the Boardwalk area and fish along the canals.

You might want to drive 2.5 hours north and try Bienville Plantation. Much better fishing and likely less money than Disney. Bienville Plantation

We are going for 9 days in the first part of June and was thinking of taking a trip with my son. Very interested in how your trip goes.

If yall are booked with the live bait trips on the pontoons Its a blast for the kiddos. It's fun but not really my thing as for as bass fishing. Disney does offer a "tournament style" trip out of a z18 I think it was that's all artificial. The live bait trips are normally fish catching trips more than fishing trips. My son loved it and I enjoyed it myself. But I enjoyed the trip on the nitro better as it was challenging
I can backlash toilet paper.

You might get distracted by the great experience and not even want to fish...
