Even if well marinated Crow does not taste that good.
Got to retract my previous post about the lack of drag on the BPS PQ2 reels that are on sale. It was pointed out that mono backing is nearly always required when using braid. Quite certain I have attached braid directly to the spool on other reels with favorable results but in this case the Bass Pro employee pointed out the error and corrected it. Lesson learned.

I have 2 older ones I bought probably 10 years ago that still work great actually they are probably 2 of my favorite reels. Dont know about the new ones though.

Tie the line through the holes in the spool and you won't need backing.
