Zillion vs Tatula sv . Are zillions that much better? Have 3 Tatula sv's now. Just getting feedback on the Zillions
Thanks

I can't speak for the Zillion, but I just bought two more Tatula's from TW today.

You wont notice a big difference in the Zillion and the Tatula unless you are really pushing its limits. I only have 2 Zillions left and have sold the others and bought more Tatulas. I am keeping the 2 Zillions for heavy cranking - 3/4-1oz Spinner Baits and Deep divers - but The tatulas are perfect for the other applications. I really like the newest models of the Tatula 100's as well, they are much more compact then the older models, I have bought 3 in the last 2 weeks.

I am a hardcore Shimano guy too, bought the last 4 reels I have bought have all been Diawas.

I will add, that unless you have scoured Ebay and found a great deal you should try ordering from these guys - http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=959955 - $135 for a tatula 100.

Those are great prices but the ones on sale are the older models, they won't be as compact as the newest models.

Yes, I believe they all have the t-wing system now. The TW is great for casting but its downfall is with finger liners like me in slow presentations, that is why I still have so many Shimano reels.

I have both versions along with 2 200's. The size difference is negligible to me. I have been using Dauwa for years. Currently have 14 Tatulas.

Unless you are one to only buy the latest and greatest model. You really don't notice.

I keep my finger on the line off the face of the reel so I can feel the bite. It is a habit from when rods werent as sensitive as they are now. It probably isnt necessary now, but I have been doing it since I could pick up a rod and I am not going to break the habit now.

I have a TWS Zillion and it is my very least favorite reel I own. Heavy, doesnt cast well, compared to my Team Lews Pros and MGLs. Seldom ever use it.
