Any thoughts on this unit? Im looking at this and maybe a humminbird helix 9. Lowrance is out. I know a lot of people like them, etc. but i dont and have had problems in the past. The new garmin stuff is looking good and especially for the price point.
Any feedback from those of you that have them would be greatly appreciated

I have both. I would decide soon, cabelas/bass pro has the 93sv on sale for 599 and you get a 50 gift card. This unit comes with the cv52 transducer which does not have the same down image quality as the gt52. It is livescope capable and has a very nice touch screen, which makes navigation easier than the helix, the included maps are nice. Helix 9 si mega is on sale for 999. + 100 gift card it is also a great unit. Both are on sale till the 3rd I think.

is it worth the extra money for the gt52? or does the cv52 do well enough?

I like that Humminbird Helix 9 as well. If anyone has any thoughts on that I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

Great unit. Especially for the price. There have been several threads on different forums about the GT-cv transducers. The majority seem to feel there is very little difference between the two if fishing realitively shallow water. Under 80-100. I am running both for bass fishing under 30 and cannot tell much, if any difference.

I love mine. I got it last week at Basspro for $600. Added the llivescope. Yeah! The down imaging and side imaging are superior to my HDS Gen3s. Tim

Having mine (93SV) installed today at "Shut Up & Fish" in Lewisville. I will hit the water ASAP to see how she does. May take a month of fishing to figure it out. Hate to do it but someone has to. Panoptix will be next.

I own a Garmin 93sv. Its a solid unit and extremely easy to operate. It gets me the pictures I need to be more efficient on the water and minimize the guesswork.

Good to hear. I will be on Grapevine about noon Friday to do some graph work. Maybe I can find some sandies since it has been hard to do the past 4 months.
