Those Conroe locals do not say much at all.

Bottom line it didn't it chose the best blade bait to bite!

Lol. It chose the one right on front of it. I give the angler the credit for boat position and the right cast. Not the bait.

Congrats to Mr. Story on a fish of a lifetime!

It's not like 13lbers just jump on every lure they see. Having a 13lber 2 years in a row jump on your brand bladed jig speaks volumes of the bait. I don't see any Jackhammer chatterbaits pulling 13lbers on Fork. I think when you land a 13lber everything get's credit from the bait to the line, rod, reel, boat, angler, even the sandwich he had for lunch.

Ok stop with the pillow fight, the same bait did catch sharelunkers on back to back years on the same lake, that has to count for something grin

So true. Lol congrats on the great fish and congrats on the success of finch baits. I like to see local guys do well. I wish everyone would just say awesome fish awesome story and keep the negatives to themselves. But it is a forum so I get it is going to happen. But at the end of the day that is one awesome fish and glad you caught it. Fish on!!!

Steve is a good guy. This thread should be about him and the whale he caught, not the bait. My bad for mentioning the stats.
