I completed update 18.2 on my HDS Gen 3's.
One of the upgrades is the ability to pair with an iPhone to show messages and incoming calls on the lowrance unit. Followed the YouTube video but could not get the unit or the phone to recognize the other.
The iPhone is an SE (maybe too old)
Any advice appreciated.

Well. I have Carbons and a new iPhone and the same issue, so I doubt its your older phone.

I can get my iphone to hook up with my Carbons and Gen 3's but it will not let me use my Bluetooth through it (for music)....

I was having the time loss issue before the update. Hoped this would help. I'll have to check when I get home. Thanks for the responses. Looks like the issue is not mine alone. I was thinking I missed something simple but, maybe not.

I had the same problem before the update. BUT I have a Gen 2 networked with the Gen 3. There is a legacy GPS patch for the Gen 2s. Loaded it on Gen 2 and the new update on the Gen 3. Now the time is spot on. Before loading I had no time on Gen 2 and the time was random on Gen 3. Oh I also had to restore defaults on the Gen 3 after loading patch not sure if due to patch or me. Lets just say I got frustrated at on point and started pressing buttons and jacked some other stuff up. Restoring defaults will cause you to have to walk back through the basic setups, settings and such but will keep all routes, waypoints, and trails. Found its good to note how your set up before restoring if you have dialed stuff in like you like.

Wreck Em!!! Put the smack down on the birds last weekend eh!!

No other issues between the gen2 and gen3 being networked with the new 18.2 update? Ive heard the two shouldnt be networked anymore. Gen3 and Carbon are good to go but no on gen2 to Gen 3.

Definitely a no go on networking Gen 1 and Gen 3 or higher. Buddy did this and things were jacked up ....like sonar depth would not read even with everything set to local on all units. He messed with it two days while calling lowrance and they finally asked, you didnt network a Gen 1 with it did you?

Other than the time thing I have had no issues for two years with them networked. Used them this weekend and no issues so far. Time issue started last October around the time everyone else had issues. I was down with a blown out knee Sept to end of November, so didnt notice until recently and started scouting the internet for solutions.

I'm having the same time issue with the Hook 2 Triple Shot.. Lowrance is not recognizing it as a issue yet and has no software fix for it..

Finally found a reference to the smartphone integration and it's for carbon only. I'll be interested to see if there is an issue linking gen 2 and gen 3 units. It is not suppose to be an issue but we will see.

New Features

Genesis Live mapping
Smartphone notifications*
Yamaha Integration (Phase 2)
Evinrude Engine Integration
Fusion Ethernet Support*
*HDS Carbon only
