Had a buddy come back this week from Salto. Numbers were ok. (50 a day) and weights were not great, biggest fish was in the 5lb range. Picachos is supposed to have better numbers but not as big as el salto. You should check the fishing reports from Ron Speed's and Angler's Inn website to get a better idea. I haven't checked them

Fished Comedero and Picachos the first week of Feb, had a great trip 80-90 a day at Comedero up to 7.2lbs, then moved to Picachos. Were averaging 125-150 a boat each day at Picachos. This was 3rd trip to Picachos in last 4 yrs and was the best we've had!..... The size has definitely improved......the biggest our group had was a 6.8lb but lots of 4-6lb fish......my partner and i boated 60 in an hr from 3-6lbs on 8XD crankbaits, virtually every cast.......this was repeated by several boats in our group......also the Carolina bite with 8" "iguana" was great too.....another guy boated a 10lb on a Tilapia colored jig while we were there.....Already booked for next year! Can't wait to get back!

As I previously said, I’m headed back to Salto in 2 weeks. I’ll PM you on or about March 18.

Here's the latest report from Anglers Inn.

PM me if you have any questions. I just came back from 4 great days at Picachos, too.
